Alamabad Mosque
In LOOK
Project was assigned as the main central mosque for Alamabad Educational Complex – a welfare development made for the underprivileged population of Swabi, KPK, Pakistan. This Mosque was defined to be the Islamic Center for Islamic Studies and congregation of the campus community. The Design concept was formed along the Islamic concept of “God is everywhere’’, where it is believed that God is present in nature, in our hearts, and all our surroundings. The Architectural translation was derived through the simple strategy of creating a structure with symmetry along all axes of the building, as well as a crown-like structure developing to portray resting of every module on the next, stressing the importance and strength of the community in Islam, through which we were able to project dynamic external court spaces, which led to enhancing the approach experience of the design as well as allowed for excess space for excessive attendance at the mosque.
